ArtServe Creative Many Census and Mini-Grant Opportunity!

Flint Handmade encourages all creative practitioners (e.g. crafters, artists, writers, musicians, etc.) to complete the ArtServe Creative Many Census.

There is an opportunity for you to receive a mini-grant of $500, $1000 or $1500 just for completing the survey!

Please see the message below from Cezanne Charles, Director of Creative Industries for ArtServe Michigan.

The Creative Many Census pilot will capture demographic, socioeconomic and other relevant data that will help to document the significant positive contribution that artists and creative practitioners make to the region. The census will also be an invaluable opportunity for the creative practitioners to tell us what programs, services and resources they need to help them thrive and sustain themselves. Open to emerging and established artists of all disciplines and independent entrepreneurs in design and architecture, the census is intended to be a comprehensive scan of the sector. We have taken care to ensure that all data entered in the census is completely anonymous and that we are working with a data vendor that currently complies with all privacy and online security laws. For more information there is a powerpoint presentation available from the website. http://cmcensus.artservemichigan.org

3 mini-grants will be randomly selected and awarded to artists/creative practitioners completing all sections of the survey in the following amounts $1500, $1000 and $500 by March 7. The census can be found online at http://cmcensus.artservemichigan.org. The census is live from February 6 through March 7, 2010.
